PET GROOMING
Why grooming is important for pet’s? 🐩
How often do you groom your pet? While for many people the concept of grooming your pet conjures up notions of brushes and bows, it is in fact a vital element to their overall health and wellbeing. Regularly grooming your animal allows you to catch any underlying diseases or conditions early, meaning that they will be able to be treated quicker and more efficiently and will therefore be less likely to have any lasting effect on your pet. When a dog mounts, the loose hair can get tangled which causes matting, which if not brushed away regularly can become worse and worse, pulling on their skin and creating painful sore patches. It has been known to get so bad, huge sores are created which can then get infected, and this is all hidden underneath their fur, so if you aren’t closely
checking your dog on a regular basis, it may be missed. Dogs can’t tell us where it hurts, so it is important to keep on top of grooming as it gives you the opportunity to give them a basic health check, you ought to check for matting and sores, between their toes where mud and grass seeds can clump and gather, which can cause a lot of discomfort. You can check for any sores, fleas, or general lumps, bumps, scratches, and the condition of their eyes, ears and feet.A great way to improve the mood of your dog is to treat them a massage regularly. Grooming is not just about maintaining your dog’s level of cleanliness, and it is not just about keeping your dog good-looking. This is especially important for long-haired dogs, which require more intense grooming sessions as compared to short-haired dogs. It takes more time to brush their long fur and they need to get used to staying still for this starting at an early age. That is not to say dogs with short, clipped fur do not require grooming. Grooming is about maintaining both your dog’s physical health as well as her appearance. Simply put, grooming helps keep your dog happy and healthy, gives you and your dog a time that is set aside just for the two of you, and helps you to save on veterinary bills. So don’t delay, start grooming your puppy early
